Logan International Airport Information

Logan Airport was
opened in 1922 when the need arose for the local business
community around Boston to get to business locations faster. In 1923, the new airport was officially dedicated and named Boston Airport.
The original runways were once used primarily by the Army Air Corp and the Massachusetts Air Guard. The airport built their first hanger for commercial flights in 1925. By 1927, Boston Airport was regularly used for commercial flights between New York and Boston.
